New Managing Director since 1/5/2012

After the death of Paul-Heinz Wagner in March 2010, Mr Bernd Thelen, the brother of the company’s successful founder, took over the role of Managing Director.

In order to continue to satisfy the requirements for a solid, strategic orientation of the company, on 1/5/2012 Mr Thelen handed over the post of Managing Director to Dr. Klaus Rodemann.

In future Mr Thelen will concentrate fully on his duties as a co-partner of Maschinenfabrik Wagner, in particular on the strategic and technological business segments and the enhancement of the unique range of services. In this capacity Mr Thelen will employ his over 30 years experience in the company to support the Management Board and to further promote the expansion of the premium vendor brand Plarad.

Dr. Rodemann has many years experience in small to medium-sized family-owned companies and in large international enterprises. In the business units he managed sustainable growth was achieved – in particular through internationalisation and market penetration with product and service innovations.

Dr. Rodemann is particularly experienced in sales matters, has already successfully occupied the post of Managing Director elsewhere, and also gained intercultural experience during several years spent in the USA.

The corporate philosophy based on Maschinenfabrik Wagner’s wealth of tradition and the experience and skills of Dr. Rodemann will guarantee that the Plarad success story will continue.
